Exercise in a Way That Excites YOU with Elyse Valdes of Fitventures!
Hey Volley Fam! My name is Elyse, and I'm a Certified Personal Trainer, Performance Enhancement Specialist, and Founder of my fitness company, Fitventures. Born and raised in Miami, I grew up with a very active lifestyle and a deep love for adventure, sports, and exercise. Fun fact: I pole vaulted, ran track, and cheered for 10 years. I graduated with my Bachelors degree in Communications and decided I wanted to pursue my passion as a full-time fitness trainer and entrepreneur. And so that's how Fitventures was born! Through Fitventures, I hope to inspire others to live a balanced, active, and healthy lifestyle.
I currently offer personal training at our home gym in Miami, community workout events, content creation, and fitness modeling. No matter how busy my day gets, I always try to make time for myself. I believe you can't pour from an empty cup, so in order to uplift and help others, you need to practice self-care first.
I do this daily by exercising in a way that excites me. Some days I'll crush a HIIT workout, and other days I'll lean more towards low impact, feel good movement like an outdoor walk with my mom & goldendoodle, Kobe. Switching things up makes my workouts fun and spontaneous. It gives me something new to look forward to every day.
In addition, fueling my body before and after my workouts (& throughout the day) is crucial. I aim to eat a balanced colorful diet with yummy whole foods and drink lots of water to stay hydrated. Spending time in nature to recharge and reflect also helps me release stress and stay grounded. These are just a few of the things I strive to do daily to help me show up as my best for my clients and the people around me. Along my journey I’ve learned it’s all about finding what excites and works best for YOU.
